Well, this is new.

This (online store) could be a variety of things for my business and I.  It's an entirely new way for me to engage with you.  With a constantly changing retail landscape, I feel this was a natural progression.  One I had to be, more or less, shoved into, and shoved I was.  It's been a learning curve, to say the least. In the grand scheme of things, I can handle the technical side of an online platform, adding inventory and taking pictures etc.  It's the navigating between having three kids at home, that are also transitioning to new ways, and attempting to launch a new online store that has had some challenges.
There is a store full of beautiful clothing, longing for a wardrobe to be a part of.  Without actually turning the sign to open, I needed to find a away to not only display them, but I had to find a way to get them to you. At Maritas we've always prided ourselves on superb customer service. I truly miss the face to face environment, being able to interact and sometimes try on everything in the store! I miss the conversations, the laughs, the stories, hugs and sometimes tears. I know we sell clothes, but on most days, it feels like so much more than that. I'm confident we'll get back to that place.  I long for the day to hear the jingle of the bells and the feeling of anticipation to see who's walking through the door, but for now we'll do it this way and I'm excited to share the journey with you.
Stay safe, healthy and always fashionable.

  • My experience at Marita’s was much less satisfying. I have read the other emails and understand that they were treated well but I certainly was not. I booked an appointment to shop for a friends’s wedding and when I got to the store at the mutually decided upon time it was locked. When I called the number on the sandwich board a Jessica answered and laughed when I said I had an appointment and she said that she had already gone home. She said she had totally forgotten and was gone for the day and that Covid had made everything very difficult. This had nothing to do with Covid….I had an appointment which she did not show up for. She did not offer to come back but said I could come back Friday when everything opened up. I was upset and furious with the way I had been treated…..this is no way to run a business! I, for one will never shop here again!

  • Do you have petite slacks (waistband to hold belt) – not pull on and petite l/s blouses for fall/winter in stock now?

  • I just placed an order and was able to already pick it up curb side. I was not quite sure of the sizing on the items so I gave Jessica a call and she helped me, and the items fit perfectly. It sure pays to shop local. I love the clothes and colours. Thanks Marita’s for brightening my day.
