The most important thing to wear, can't be bought in a store.

I miss a lot of things these days, I miss socializing, events, parties and what I never thought I would refer to as the good old days. The ways of the world have changed, and the way we do business continues to evolve. It's a good thing I'm a bit of a chameleon or well, I wouldn't be around to write this long overdue post. 

When it comes to life at Marita's, what I miss the most is fashion shows, not virtual ones, the live, in person ones, with a back room filled with models that have to be constantly shushed because their excitement and chatter is louder than the commentary. The one's with music and laughter and smiles from an audience ready to see what's new for the season. How the guests want to reach out and touch the fabrics, chat with the women as they stroll by and admire all that's on stage and in store. 

If you've ever been to a Marita's show, you'll know that at the end of each show, we remind you that the most important thing you can wear, that flatters you the most, that makes you shine the brightest can't be bought at Marita's, or any other store for that matter. It doesn't have a size, or a colour, or a fit. It can't be borrowed, or stolen, it can only come from you. 

When I post pictures of the merchandise that is currently in store, I do so, because it helps give an idea of what the garments look like, on a more, lets say, standard body type ;) and while I do appreciate all of your comments and love on how I look in them, there are many that are not that flattering, and of course I don't show those ones, because, lets be honest, I want them to sell! I choose pieces that flatter my colouring, enhance my features and that most of all, I feel good in. That last piece, that's the key. The confidence. Regardless of your personal style, the size of your closet, your shape, your height or anything thing else, be confident. Own your beauty and wear what you feel good in. 

So remember, in the words of the famous Coco Chanel, "Everyday is a fashion show and the world is your runway." 

Always dress your best and walk with confidence.
